Team GB takes gold at world championship

Congratulations to the Winton-sponsored British team who won the 2024 World Chess Solving Championship in Latvia this week.

The Winton-sponsored British Chess Solving Team became World Champions in Latvia this week, with Jonathan Mestel, John Nunn, David Hodge taking home gold medals.

Team GB went into the final round 4 points ahead of Poland, leading to a tie-break after a strong Polish performance.

Winton has sponsored the British Chess Solving Championship since 2003.
